Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, design plans, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Select and prepare materials, such as wood, veneers, laminates, and hardware, for cabinet and furniture construction.
  • Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, including saws, routers, sanders, and drills, to shape and cut materials.
  • Assemble and join components to construct cabinets, ensuring precise measurements and tight fits.
  • Install hardware, such as hinges, handles, and knobs, to complete the cabinets and furniture pieces.
  • Apply finishes, stains, and paints to enhance the appearance and protect the surfaces of the cabinets and furniture.
  • Inspect completed cabinets and furniture for quality, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Collaborate with designers, contractors, and clients to address any project modifications or special requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials used in cabinetmaking.
