Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision:
- Train, supervise, and motivate food service staff to ensure they adhere to quality and safety standards.

- Oversee food preparation and ensure that dishes are prepared to standard recipes and presentation.

- Customer Service:

- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed.
- Manage food storage and rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Train staff on proper food handling and safety practices.
- Staff Scheduling:
- Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and busy periods.
- Handle staff shift changes and replacements as necessary.
- Menu Development and Specials:
- Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Coordinate daily specials and promotions to attract and retain customers.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Complete administrative tasks, such as payroll, reports, and record-keeping, accurately and timely.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education in food service management or related field is an advantage).
- Proven experience as a Food Service Supervisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle busy periods effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory and cost control principles.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software is a plus.
