We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our transportation team. As a Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in safely and efficiently transporting goods and cargo to their destinations. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods and cargo between locations, following designated routes and schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical soundness of the truck and report any issues or defects to the maintenance team.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of the load.
- Plan and optimize routes to meet delivery deadlines and avoid traffic and other logistical challenges.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself, other road users, and the cargo.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, team members, and customers to provide timely updates on delivery status and any potential delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and other relevant information related to truck operations and cargo deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections, including checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and other essential components.
- Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable, and maintain proper documentation for such shipments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver, with a clean driving record and a commitment to safety.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and best practices for securing and transporting cargo.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
