Responsibilities:

  • Stock shelves and displays with a variety of grocery products, ensuring that items are neatly arranged and faced forward.
  • Rotate products to maintain freshness and follow the first in, first out (FIFO) principle.
  • Assist customers in locating products and provide friendly, helpful service.
  • Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing, and promotions.
  • Operate cash registers and accurately process customer transactions.
  • Bag groceries and offer assistance to customers with their purchases.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including cleaning spills and keeping shelves and aisles tidy.
  • Receive and unload shipments of merchandise, verifying quantities and quality.
  • Check inventory levels and communicate low stock items to supervisors.
  • Assist with pricing and signage of products as needed.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure product quality and customer safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve a smooth and efficient workflow.
